The region runs a league series for all members of Eastern Region clubs across all age groups from 8 to 16. Races are nominated around the region and children race from May to September to be crowned Regional League winners.
The league comprises of a number of races across the region. Children can take part in all of them if they wish, but the league will normally take the best results across 3 triathlons and 2 other events (duathlon or aquathlon).
The region holds championship races as one off events to find the champion across age categories, these events are announced early December.
A national initiative where each region enters their top 12 Tri-Star’s (from Tri-Star 2 and 3) against the other regions for the honour of being called ‘The Inter Regional Champion’. The Eastern Region specifies a number of races that constitute the qualification events for places in this prestigious event. Juniors will need to be members of British Triathlon if they wish to qualify for the Eastern Region Team to race in The Inter Regional Championship which takes place each year in September.
